What
will happen to our Missions Budget? It will continue
as it is today, but will be part of the larger ONE FUND budget, rather
than a separate one. We will continue to oversee and support our missionaries
and projects as we do now, but our capabilities to provide more resources
for mission work will be greater with this approach.
How else will Accelerate differ from previous stewardship initiatives
at Pathway Church? Accelerate is a two-year effort, rather than a three-year
program like we’ve used in the past. Accelerate will fund numerous
off-campus initiatives, all of our mission work and all of our operating
expenses.
How will the congregation be updated on the progress of Accelerate
projects? Updates on Accelerate projects and spending will be communicated
by email, newsletters and special announcements.

What will happen if we miss our target of $17.6 million over
the next two years? Is there a chance that the project I’m most excited
about would not be completed? We expect to reach the goal, despite
the challenge it represents! However, if we fall short, we will adjust
expenditures based on priorities determined by the Elder Team at that
time. Unless we fall well short of the goal, none of the initiatives
will be totally eliminated.
